College students are constantly stressed while balancing their coursework, personal life, relationships, jobs, and more. Whether they are in their last year trying to apply for jobs or post graduate programs or first-year students trying to acclimate to a new environment and a heavier course load, college students are under significant pressure. Stress can lead to deteriorating health habits including oral hygiene. To understand the relation between stress and oral hygiene among college students, this study explores selected students in Arizona and how their oral health has changed since starting college. In a survey of current Arizona State University students, the findings suggest there is a lack of oral health habits within the population and a misunderstanding of what constitutes proper oral hygiene. The study investigated health habits such as diet, exercise, and oral hygiene and how they correlated with the conceptions people had about what is considered correct oral care. Although oral care is extremely important, the conclusions indicate that educated populations, like college students, have not prioritized correct hygiene practices. The lack of oral health in college students can lead to further health problems highlighting the importance to promote proper oral hygiene practices.

In 2022, the revenue generated from accounting services hit an all-time high of 119.48 billion USD (“Accounting Services in the US - Market Size”, 2022). On top of this, research has shown that 45% of all accounting professionals would like to automate something about their workflow (Thomas, 2020). Indeed, a lot of bookkeeping accountancy has been phased out by simple automation. However, larger accounting tasks like business mergers still require a team of accountants despite being a largely iterative process. This project chronicles one such attempt at automating accounting events or transactions that are performed by businesses both large and small. With the help of accounting students Madeline Stolper and Heddie Liu we were able to build a fully-functioning website to automate accounting transactions. For this project, we used industry-standard software frameworks React and Express to build the site with dynamic accounting applications. These applications were built with reusable components, making the development of future applications very simple. We also leveraged cutting-edge technological solutions from Amazon Web Services to make the website available on the Internet with rapid response times. Lastly, we incorporated an agile approach to project management and communication, in order to create functionality in the most efficient and organized manner possible. On a large scale, something like this has never been attempted and TurboIFRS/GAAP represents a revolutionary leap in accounting automation.

This project and podcast were created to examine the feasibility of integrating interdisciplinary education within higher education to allow students to explore beyond an explicitly defined discipline. The project works to discuss how students have incorporated or failed to incorporate their own interests within their education. The podcast seeks to prove the value of interdisciplinary education within higher education and how that can plant the seeds for future cross functional application in the job market. The project works to establish the importance of grassroots change and how an individual’s experience with education can influence a whole generation's relationship with learning. Through student and faculty interviews, subsequent analyst and research I intended to prove that higher education must recognize and act on the bridging the divide between various disciplines to promote cross functionality beyond schooling.

A huge block in the road for prospective music students may reach them when they are looking forward to the next step in their music education: the application and selection process for higher institutions of music education differs significantly from the application process that most students go through to attend college. Without the proper guidance from teachers, counselors, and other mentors in their high school education, students may find themselves completely lost in a discipline that can tend to make assumptions about student goals and cost lots of money in the process. Throughout this thesis, undergraduate music students will offer insight about the paths that they took to receiving their degrees alongside advice from college professionals that devote their professional lives to helping ensure that these students are successful. In addition, the culture and accepted curricula of collegiate music will be analyzed with a close lens to try and answer questions of what universities and other institutions of higher learning tend to value in the music discipline. In concluding remarks, this information will be synthesized to offer specific advice to help future college music students find their way.

In this thesis, we surveyed homeless individuals at the Saint Vincent de Paul homeless shelter to discover any trends amongst the homeless population in the areas of: mental health and quality of life, as well as to how effective the shelter is for individuals. Our overall findings show us that not only is the shelter successful in assisting homeless individuals in their daily lives and quality of lives, but friends and family play a crucial role in supporting homeless individuals as well.
