This was an audiovisual exhibit showcasing 10 participants' portraits, artifact photos & audio stories. In a world full of polarization in the media and bias, my thesis project strives to highlight the similarities in our differences with stories from people of all different ages, backgrounds & lifestyles. The Latin Sol Festival stands as a vibrant celebration of culture, music, and dance, uniting communities and fostering connections in a dynamic showcase of Latin heritage. Held annually, this festival embodies the spirit of cultural preservation and community engagement. As the festival continues to grow and evolve, it remains committed to its original mission. The aim of this creative project was to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, diversity, document its historical impact, increase Sunday participation and set a new standard for future years. These were accomplished by a diverse set of tools including marketing, rebranding, delegation, design and collaborations with local businesses.

In Arizona, many expect all and any Latin influence to come from Mexican immigrants but, in actuality, there are a variety of countries that have immigrants established themselves in the state. One of the best ways to learn a new culture and to become more empathetic is through their food. Knowing this, I went to several Latin American restaurants in the Phoenix valley to conduct ethnographic interviews with owners in order to analyze their cultural influence on the community and the overall impacts of culture, community, and Latinidad.
