Our Founders Lab Group created a pop-up thrift store on campus using donated clothing. We generated over $1000 in profits from our clothing sales to donate to a local charity, making our team the top earning Founders Lab team. Our shop, Devils Rack, tabled twice on the Tempe ASU campus in order to generate our revenue.

Sun Stop Solar, is a solar module development and manufacturing company that utilizes a unique class of materials, perovskites, as the solar cells’ absorption layer. Perovskites are a unique class of compounds with some perovskites being able to absorb photons and excite electrons to create current. Sun Stop Solar will focus on first developing the patent, licensing the technology to a manufacturer, and slowly garnering funds to launch our own manufacturing eventually. Sun Stop Solar is offering a domestic, affordable, and sustainable solution for the current solar market.

This thesis paper outlines the Ctrl+P print store business, an honors thesis project conducted through the Founder’s Lab program at Arizona State University. The project is an online store for 3D printed items, operated by a team of four students with backgrounds in engineering and finance. Three team members have experience in computer-aided design (CAD) and can design products to print and sell, while the fourth member is responsible for the financial side of the business. The project began with a broader scope but later focused on the niche community of pool. In the spring semester, the team conducted customer discovery with over 600 ASU students; and in the fall semester, reached out to several pool halls to facilitate feedback on designs of custom pool racks. The team currently has a pending business deal with Mill’s Modern Social, a pool hall and bar in Tempe. The team's goal was to be revenue-earning by the end of the project, and they have already made a profit as a business.

We are the “Amazon Storage” for food delivery services. Customers will be able to order take-out on established food delivery apps, such as UberEats and Grubhub. At delivery, the drivers will place your order inside our HotBox lockers. Customers will then receive a unique code to input in order to access the locker. Lockers will be temperature controlled to keep the food hot or cold depending on what the customer orders. Our product aims to provide a contact-less pickup option for customers. We will design our own proprietary storage lockers that will serve as our primary product offering. Our company would look at all aspects of designing the lockers, permits for placing around apartment complexes, and costs associated with building the lockers.
