Title
Breathe: A Short Story Featuring Childhood Apraxia of Speech
Description
This creative project is a short science fiction story about a crew working on a spaceship that is invaded by aliens after a collision. One member of the crew has childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), and deals with insecurity and emotional distress when he feels responsible for the collision. Eventually, he rescues his crew and banishes the aliens from the ship. The project has the goal of increasing representation of people with CAS in fiction intended for older audiences.
