Description
The free-ranging dog population in India has had good and bad experiences with coinhabiting citizens. Most news articles mention groups of dogs attacking people. As the number of dog bites goes up, we must understand why free-ranging dogs form groups. This research study found that the ratio of groups to individuals increases significantly at 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Possible reasons for this grouping include mate maintenance, cooperative foraging, and thermoregulation.
